Cookie & Local Storage Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains cookies and similar browser/device storage used by Manifesting Clearly. UK PECR rules can apply not only to cookies but also to other technologies that store information on or read information from a user's device.
2. Strictly necessary storage
The members area can use essential session/security storage to keep an authenticated buyer signed in and to protect paid content. This storage is required to provide the account service the user requests and is not used for advertising.
3. Product local storage
Some products use browser local storage for progress, preferences, favourites, goals, notes or other product state. This lets the requested product remember information on that device. Clearing browser data can remove locally stored product information, so use backup/export tools where offered.
4. Analytics and non-essential tracking
Non-essential analytics is not to be activated until a consent mechanism is in place. When analytics or another non-essential storage technology is introduced, visitors must be told what it does and given a real choice before it is set where consent is required.
5. Your choices
Where consent is required, accepting non-essential storage must be an affirmative choice. Rejecting it must not prevent access to ordinary site content or paid products where that storage is not necessary. A user must be able to change or withdraw that choice.
6. Current launch rule
The production launch gate requires an inventory of essential versus non-essential storage. Non-essential analytics/tracking must remain disabled until consent has been implemented and tested.
