Clear answer

Five minutes can create a small pause in an ordinary stressful day. The goal is not to erase stress but to reduce the number of things you are trying to handle at once and return to one next step.

What the audio should help you do

Use this as a wellbeing practice, not a claim to treat a diagnosed condition.

A good guided audio removes decisions. You press play, follow a small sequence and finish. It should not require you to monitor special sensations, force imagery or accept claims that are not needed for the practice to be useful.

A simple practice

  1. Minute 1: stop adding new inputs.
  2. Minute 2: notice feet, back or hands supported.
  3. Minute 3: let the exhale run naturally and return when thoughts pull away.
  4. Minute 4: name the one demand that actually matters next.
  5. Minute 5: choose action, rest or asking for help.

Keep the boundary clear

These pages are for general wellbeing and everyday routines. If distress, anxiety or sleep difficulty is persistent, severe, worsening or significantly affecting daily life, self-guided meditation or affirmations should not be treated as a substitute for appropriate healthcare.

What usually makes it less useful

When the practice becomes a source of constant checking, self-blame or avoidance, make it smaller. A method that is meant to support focus should not require you to spend the rest of the day proving that you did it correctly.

A good stopping point

Finish the exercise when you have one clear direction and one sensible next move. You do not need to keep repeating, researching or looking for signs until certainty arrives. Let the practice end and give the rest of the day back to ordinary life.
